Our Planet Earth Party is an entirely volunteer event. Look in our sidebar column for info on the groups involved in organizing our event. Click on their logos to find out more about each group. There's a lot of work being done by volunteers just for the fun of it and for the fun we'll have on Earth Day, April 22.
There are also expenses of renting Sooke's Community Hall, insurance, advertising and necessary materials. A wonderful treat is that there will also be prizes for teams participating in the Sooke Region Wide Clean Up on Saturday April 14 the weekend before Earth Day.
It's terrific to be able to acknowledge here that our Clean Up and our Planet Earth Party are being supported by generous donations from the District of Sooke, artist Phoebe Wood, many local businesses, and Sooke's Rotary Club and Sooke District Lioness associations.
